The jobs market seems slowly to be picking up, reaching its strongest level in three years, say recruitment experts. The IT sector is driving the recovery, with increasing vacancies witnessed in admin and back-office support. A survey of 400 consultancies by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation found demand for staff grew for a fifth consecutive month. 'Sectors such as IT and computing as well as engineering and construction that were particularly hit by recession are clearly on the rebound, said Bernard Brown of KPMG which helped with the survey. But he warned that cuts in the public sector were yet to take effect.
